Bjørn Berge presents a full-length concert with a large part dedicated to the band Morphine — along with some of his own favorites!

Norwegian blues artist Bjørn Berge takes an unexpected and powerful approach to the catalogue of the iconic American band Morphine — transforming it into an intense live experience, combined with his own hits.

Armed with only an acoustic guitar, stompbox, vocals, and his distinctive playing style, Berge invites the audience into Morphine’s dark and minimalist universe — interpreted entirely on his own terms. The result is raw, intimate, and deeply personal.

In these concerts, almost the entire evening is devoted to Morphine’s songs. Audiences will experience a cohesive set where familiar tracks are given new life through stripped-down arrangements, allowing more space for dynamics, emotional intensity, and lyrical depth.

“This is music that suits the stripped-back format surprisingly well. It’s about finding the essence of the songs and letting them breathe in a different way,” says Berge.

Where the original sound was driven by baritone saxophone, bass, and drums, Berge stands alone on stage — filling the room with rhythmic precision, groove, powerful vocals, and an intense guitar expression. The concerts take on an almost ritualistic atmosphere, guiding the audience through a complete musical journey.

The tour is designed for intimate venues, where the closeness between artist and audience further enhances the experience. These are not isolated songs, but a fully realized concert experience exploring Morphine’s musical universe in depth, from beginning to end.

The album Morphine will be released on May 7, 2026.
